In 1969, Wilt Chamberlain was earning then an astronomical sum of $250000 a year.
If you want something extreme about Wilt Chamberlain's salary, the guy was earning $80000 a year for the San Francisco Warriors and his salary takes 1/3 of the team's annual revenue.
